Te Wiki o te reo Māori

Te Wiki o te Reo Māori /Māori Language Week takes place this year between Monday 27 July and Sunday 2 August.

This special week provides an opportunity to celebrate and learn te reo Māori, helping to secure its future as a living, dynamic, and rich language.

The kaupapa for Te Wiki o te Reo Māori 2015 is ‘Whāngaihia te reo Māori ki ngā mātua.’

The aim is to encourage and support the language development of parents who can then whāngai the language to their children.

There will be plenty of learning happening throughout our kura, with each Pod organising their own learning focus.

On Friday the 31st of July we will be joining together as a school whānau to celebrate the learning we have done throughout the week, everyone is welcome!
